HISS Feeder - Sockets

The standard HISS feeder is designed to accept log entries from N1MM, Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD), and an interface for N3JFP is in the works. If your logger is not one of these but does support the “standard” N1MM data packet then you can use the feeder in N1MM mode. Check out (HISS Feeder - Installing) to see how to configure the HISS feeder.

For N1MM settings (HISS Feeder - N1MM)
For HRD settings (HISS Feeder - HRD)
For N3FJP settings (HISS Feeder - N3FJP)

An example of the data packet that the HISS feeder is looking for is show here.

Some loggers use “txfreq” and/or “rxfreq”. The feeder will use “rxfreq” first and if not found use “rxfreq”. One of these must be present.

N3FJP does not report frequency, it sends the band name. HISS needs a frequency, so the band name is converted into the frequency for the low end of band.

Some loggers use “exchange1” and/or “comment”. The feeder will use “exchange1” first and if not found use “comment”.
