HISS Feeder - Installing

The HISS Feeder program is only available for the Windows OS at this time.

You first need to download the HISS_feeder.exe program to your PC. On Windows go to the HISS dashboard page and use the “Download Feeder” button. This should start a download of the program to your PC. If your virus checker complains please select option to download and keep the program. Then run a virus scanner on the downloaded HISS_feeder.exe program just to be safe.

Once downloaded, move the program to a director on your PC where you want to keep it. Then, using the Windows file browser, Right-Click on the program and select “Run as Administrator”

You only need to do this install procedure once unless you move the program, want to change an option, or unregister.

The feeder program will start and present you with this menu.

1 Register

You must do this at least once and if you move the program to a new location on your PC. This options registers the feeder with you PC and sets default settings.

2 Unregister

If you want to uninstall this program, then first select this option to un-register it. Then delete the program.

3 Set Logger

Use this option to select which logger on your PC will be using. You will also be asked what socket to use. (HISS Feeder - Sockets)

Other options

At this time the other menu options are for testing and diagnostics. You do not need to use these unless instructed by HISS support.
